Philadelphia, PA — Mr. Rod, owner of the Legendary Laff House brand, is taking comedy in an exciting new direction with the launch of the Welcome to the Fellowship Challenge, a national competition created to discover and showcase the next generation of Christian comedians.

For years, the Legendary Laff House has been recognized as one of Philadelphia’s most influential comedy venues, serving as an early stage for many talented comedians, most notably Kevin Hart, before he rose to international success. Now, Mr. Rod is building on that legacy by creating a platform where faith and comedy come together.

The Welcome to the Fellowship Challenge is more than a comedy competition. It is an opportunity for comedians who believe God has called them to minister through comedy to share their gifts with audiences across the country.

The competition will be hosted by Philadelphia native The Minister of Comedy, Rob Minor.

Known for combining comedy, faith, and encouragement, Rob Minor brings a unique voice and stage presence to the Welcome to the Fellowship Challenge. As host, he will help guide contestants and audiences through the competition while bringing energy, laughter, and inspiration to every stage of the experience.

Individuals who are 21 years of age or older, active members of a church, and believe God has called them to minister through comedy are encouraged to apply.
